• An Afternoon of Bunco with The Friends of the Library

    Wednesday, Nov. 14: 1-3pm

    The Friends of the River Valley District Library would like to invite you to join them for a fun and relaxing afternoon of Bunco and conversation on Wednesday, Nov. 14th starting at 1pm in the library's upstairs Community Room. There is no charge to attend. This event is sponsored by the Friends of the River Valley District Library.   • Port Byron Historical Society: Stories From A Modern Day River Pilot

    Wednesday, Nov. 14: 6:30-7:30pm

    The Port Byron Historical Society will meet on Wednesday, November 14th at 6:30pm at the library. The evening’s program will feature Captain Kevin Stier of the Twilight riverboat presenting “Stories From a Modern-Day River Pilot.” He will talk about his 30+ years of working on the river, including how he got started, what schooling and licensing a river pilot needs, how the river has changed in 30 years and other true stories told to him by passengers over the years.     Monday, Nov. 19: 5:30-7:30pm

    The River Valley District Library Board of Trustees will be meeting on Monday, Nov. 19th at 5:30pm in the library's upstairs Community Room. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.
  • Library Closed For Thanksgiving

    Wednesday, Nov. 21st: Closing at 6pm - Thursday, Nov. 22nd & Friday, Nov. 23rd: CLOSED

    The library will close on Wednesday, Nov. 21st at 6pm and remain closed the following dates and times in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday: Thursday, Nov. 22nd & Friday, Nov. 23rd. We will reopen for our normal hours at 9am on Saturday, Nov. 24th. We wish everyone a safe and happy holiday!
  • Pinterest Night

    Monday, Nov. 26: 6:30-7:30pm

    For adults and young adults. Please join us for this month's Pinterest Night! We will be creating beaded snowflakes, similar to the one in the photo. Bead colors may vary. If you’ve found and made any crafts from the site, feel free to bring them for Show & Tell. All materials will be provided and it is free to attend.
