Join River Valley District Library at Augustana’s Fryxell Geology Museum for a guided tour of the exhibits plus a 35-minute long hands-on program with the host directing exploration of rocks, minerals and fossils through simple observation and physical property tests.  Best for K-5th grades, but all ages are welcome.

Parking Information: The Fryxell Geology Museum is located in the Swenson Hall of Geosciences (820 38th Street, Rock Island). We recommend parking either on 38th Street or in the WVIK parking lot right off of 38th Street.  You may also park in the lot in Lincoln Park.  Please use the 38th Street campus entrance with the Fryxell Geology Museum sign when walking onto campus.  You will walk up a small hill to the Admissions parking lot and continue on the path to Swenson Geosciences building with the dinosaur visible through the lobby windows!
