Friends of the River Valley District Library on going book sale is located upstairs in the community room, and is free will donation. Newly weeded items are added after the Friends Meeting monthly.

RVDL has a board trustee opening!!

An RVDL Trustee's responsibilities include: establishing policies, approving and monitoring the annual library budget, determining the library's service programs, keeping abreast of library laws and standards, as well as employment of the Library Director. RVDL Trustees support the Library's mission "to improve and enrich the lives of our users through information, education, and recreation". Meetings are scheduled for the 4th Wednesday of each month at 5:30 pm. Trustees are required to have lived in the Library District for one or more years. You must also be a registered voter. If you have visited our library anytime within the last 3 years, you have probably already met Kathy Peschang. Kathy is a dedicated and ambitious resident of the River Valley library district. She cares deeply about community engagement and collaboration. She is constantly brainstorming new ways to help our library support the ongoing needs and desires of our patrons.

Kathy discovered her love for libraries while working at Geneseo Public Library as the Children’s Programmer. Since Kathy has joined the RVDL team, she has piloted multiple projects oriented to create more accessible and useful spaces for library programming and everyday use.
